Eddrea T. McKnight is an experienced trial attorney who is known for being assertive and articulate in the courtroom. From NBA and NFL players involved in complex litigation matters to multi-billion-dollar companies developing trial strategies, Attorney McKnight is sought by people from all walks of life for her advocacy skills, compassion, and unparalleled results. She was born in Michigan and raised in a single-parent home by a trailblazing woman who taught her to believe that glass ceilings do not exist. Attorney McKnight attended the prestigious University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a minor in African American Studies. Thereafter, she moved to Houston, Texas to pursue a Juris Doctor Degree at the historic Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she graduated with honors.
In addition to being a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, Attorney McKnight is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and various federal courts across the nation including: the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
The foundation of Attorney McKnight’s legal career was built under the leadership and guidance of renowned judges, legislators, and litigators. Attorney McKnight has been named one the nation’s Top 40 Under 40, Top Black Lawyers, Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and Most Winning Lawyers.
She is a known champion for social justice and was appointed to the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Criminal Matters Committee because of her commitment to dismantling the inequities in the criminal justice system. In 2022, Attorney McKnight received the Houston Area Urban League Young Professional Black Excellence Award for the impactful work that she has done in the community.
Outside of the courtroom, Attorney McKnight enjoys mentoring future girl bosses, traveling the world, spending time with her family, and watching Michigan football. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
